Did you coat the stainless steel screws? I heard that you should coat them with a product called Duraloc which provides a barrier between the stainless and aluminum to prevent galvanic corrosion. I can't locate this stuff. Anyone out there have any leads?? My boom also dates from 2005, and all the screws have holes with tapped threads. I have added a couple of turning blocks and cleats for reefing using a tapping drill and #10-32 stainless machine screws. Works fine.
