If you are seeing damage to the existing line replace with 5/16" double braid. The trick is to cut away about 4" of the internal core and use that part to tie off at the CenterBoard, making the 8-knot small enough to fit properly in the CB Trunk. Be aware it is very possible you will not be able to get the board to over extend far enough to access the hole/opening that the pennant passes and the 8-knot sets. Be careful over extending the board as it can damage the forward end of the trunk. :: Dave Scobie :: M6'8" #650 :: Baba 30 #233 DEJA VU :: former owner SV SWALLOW - sv-swallow.com :: former owner M17 #375 SWEET PEA - m17-375.com :: former owner M15 #288 SCRED - m15namedscred.wordpress.com On Thu, Oct 6, 2022, 07:59 Peter Zimowsky via montgomery_boats < montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com> wrote:
Hi folks: Decided to replace the line on my centerboard (M15) Chinook Breeze scuba diving at the reservoir this weekend. What size line is best and how long? Thanks,
