While I could have saved $10-15 online by going with an unknown discount battery supplier, I decided to pay the premium and get mine at West Marine for $80. For my money I got a high quality battery in excellent condition. With proper care it should last several years.

I have been considering an AGM battery for my Minnekota trolling motor rather than use the 16Ah Costco emergency starter battery that I already have since a dedicated AGM might be happier in the very salty environment of an old Zodiac inflatable. Where do you find them and how much are they?
