Steven, Echo Bay is nicely located with a good physical setup, so I suspect you will have a ball. I am a little partial to the scenery at Temple Bar, and there are not so many ski-boats, but the new block-long launching ramp is close to drying out with current low lake level. Pray for a good water year in the basin! By the way, your boat name is great on several levels. Do you have one of those canines for a mascot? For what it is worth regarding Havasu, I have recently sailed out of Cattail Cove with its nice campground and launching ramp (you can rent a slip at Sandpoint Marina next door), and have boated from both Nautical Inn and Havasu Springs. The Nautical is great if you can beach your boat, since you can usually reach in and out of the little bay below your room. It's a fun sail under the London Bridge and around the "island". Havasu Springs has nice slips and more peace and quiet, so I have to say I like both. Guess the choice depends on how the sailboat "swarm" is organized. Surely anyone driving down there will stay at least a week, and can try out all three places. Thanks Tom, Bob delivered a number of boats in the last few weeks. I'm certainly glad to have mine. My wife and I will be joining Sean and the armada in Havasu. We can't wait to meet some other Montgomery\Trailer sailors. The maiden voyage will be out of Echo Bay in Lake Mead hopefully sometime soon... Steven, This is great news! Bob's factory must be really humming. Where will you go for the maiden voyage? I am sure Sean and the Havasu gang would like another Montgomery in their February gathering. I ordered a new M17 from Bob Eeg of Montgomery Boats on November 5, 2007. Yesterday on the day after Christmas I picked up DINGO almost a full month ahead of schedule. Bob built a beautiful boat and accommodated all of my special requests. Thanks Bob! I am looking forward to sailing DINGO on Lake Mead and offshore in Southern California.
