My practice is to plan for an hour per tank. This roughly equivalent to being 4 hours per gallon. Distance isn't part of this equation as there are too many factors that will change boat speed over ground: current, wind, chop, etc. My practice has always been to fill the tank every 45 minutes. This means you don't run the motor dry and it will therefore restart quickly once refilled. If you run the motor dry it takes multiple pulls to get it to fire. :: Dave Scobie :: M6'8" #650 :: Baba 30 #233 DEJA VU :: former owner SV SWALLOW - sailboatswallow.wordpress.com/ :: former owner M17 #375 SWEET PEA - m17-375.com :: former owner M15 #288 SCRED - m15namedscred.wordpress.com On Wed, Mar 20, 2024, 22:57 Jim Sadler <jimsadler@jascopacific.com> wrote:
Good Evening Skippers
On M15 at 4 knots how much run time do you get per tank of gas?
