Hey Mark - I agree. If we just lower the mid sections it should lower the keel and provide more of a curve that would cradle the hull better. I guess I was hoping a brand new trailer would fit a bit better. The trailer for my M15 has straight bunks and they don't really fit the boat well. I plan to modify the trailer at some point to create the curve in the bunks. Both my M23 and M17 trailers have/had curved bunk boards that support the boat evenly. The straight bunk boards will only support the hull for a short distance in the center. Sean,
I am hoping you can provide some input here. I had Pacific Trailer build a trailer for my 23' using the template they had and I believe the one they used for your boat. When we went to set the boat on the trailer, the keel is about 4" from setting into the keel slot/cradle (see attached pictures). Looks like we will need to unbolt the posts that support the bunks and drill additional holes so we can lower the bunks further. I know you had to make some adjustments to the rear bunks but just curious if you ran into this? It is my understanding that a good portion of the weight should be resting on the keel?
Thanks,
Todd Bradley
