Hi Irv-  We used to use a polyethelene tank- seems like it was 6 gal.  You need a deck fitting to fill it, and a vent going up to the deck so air won't back up in the fill tube

Easiest way on an electrical system is to run the wires up the mast tube, thru a thru-deck connecter, then up the mast to a tri-color.  I'm probably going to rig up a pulpit light on Bob Campbell's boat this fall but it will require more surgery.  Bob needs the light further forward becauser he sails so fast that the light waves can't keep up the boat otherwise.

Jerry,
I am interested in purchasing a hand pump. I purchased hull #354 "Whoa Nellie" from Eugene. She has a galley but no pump. What is a good way to store water?  Also, she had electric but there is nothing left but battery switch and the switch panel. Any place to get details on how to rewire navigation lights etc. I hope to launch her tomorrow in Chatham MA. I really am looking forward to sailing her.
Thanks
Irv

Hi Larry-  I think you sent me your address, but I've lost it somehow.  Would you send it again?  I've got your pump packaged.

Hi- The original 17's had a hand pump with the water system option- I have a box of them left if you're interested.  Don't know how much they are worth these days, but 10. plus shipping sounds good to me.

I have a 1977 M-17 that needs electrical work and a fresh water system.  I had to remove the old system years ago because of corrosion.  Now I want to replace the systems and I am not sure how everything goes together.  Does anyone know if the old M-17 had an electric pump that provided water to the sink?
Thanks
