Hi Tom, I would recommend it. Consider bottom paint "sacrificial " so all the nasty stuff will not stick to your hull. I would lean toward one of the new eco-water based green products from Interlux or Pettit. Such products were not available when I did my hull in Micron CSC 15+ years ago.
