Connie, Which lake in Connecticut do you use? I was on Highland Lake for a few years, up in the NW corner. Candle lake is pretty good sized too. Tom B

Wayne,
Just send the question as you sent this email.
Whoever has experience with the problem (s) will reply.
Even Jerry Montgomery jumps in and offers his expert knowledge and guidance.
So don't be shy; we've all been there - done that.
M-boat owners have lots of experience in varied directions; from their work or from sailing experiences, and we are all willing to share what we know or have experienced.
If you could figure out a way to email us a freshly caught halibut, I'm sure that we'd be grateful for the gift.
Happy sailing
Connie
Thanks to all for the kind words.
I am always glad to host visitors to Alaska. I have lived here all my life and it is a spectacular place. Pretty short season for sailing, but an awesome place non the less.
So when I have questions, do I just send out a group email? Is that how this works?
My boat is a 15 and built in the early 80's. Yellow stripe.
Thanks in advance,
Wayne

Welcome Wayne,
I'm envious of your quick score there in the vastness of Alaska! Montys can be hard to come by, as others' welcome notes indicate. If I eventually get up to visit your state, I may ask if I can help you sail yours sometime... :-)
cheers, John S.

Hello everyone.
I just started sailing last summer. Just a little.
Bought a small open bow 14 footer built for 2. It was full of holes and a mess. Had it in the garage thru the winter, fixed it all up and painted it. It turned out really nice, but almost instantly I wanted a little bigger boat. Something to take my grand kids out on.
I saw a Montgomery for the first time a couple weeks ago and fell in love with it.
I live in Alaska and soon found out there was only a handful up here.
I just couldn't believe it when one showed up on Craigslist yesterday.
It's in my driveway now and I couldn't be more excited.
