Here's some pictures, should be small enough to come thru on list. This is 2" thick foam which gives just enough width for a lip on both sides of notch. This is a snug enough push-fit for testing purposes. I would have some kind of bungee or something to keep it in place in windy conditions, or a gust (or stray elbow) could knock it loose.
It blocks most all sitting positions in the cockpit from line-of-sound with the motor head. Makes enough difference in the noise to be worth it.
