John: Yes, I installed one on my new M17 last spring. I mounted a standard power boat bimini on my toe rail track. The bimini is shown on page 701 bottom right-hand corner of the 2006 West Marine Catalog, Model number 1907070, Taylor # 63200. The size is 30"H x 75" W x 4' L. With white vinyl material the cost was $237.99 plus tax and shipping. I moved the main sheet attachment point forward on the boom about a foot to avoid sheet-bimini interference. You can see a photo of it deployed (last photo in group) at the following web site: http://www.msogphotosite.com/M17Hyde.html --Gary Hyde Pullman, WA gmhyde1@mac.com M17 sailboat #637 'Hydeaway 2' We can't change the wind, but we can trim our sails. HI EVERYONE:
MY M17 IS BEING SHIPPED TUESDAY NOVEMBER 14th.
I AM INTERESTED IN A GOOD DESIGN FOR A BIMINI THAT CAN BE USED WHILE SAILING. DOES ANYONE KNOW OF ANYTHING? THE MAIN SHEET AND TRAVELER IS MOUNTED ON THE COCKPIT FLOOR.
BEST REGARDS
