M_Boats: Rigging questions

Does anyone out there have suggestions regarding placement of a mast ring for a spinnaker? My used M17 (#393) came with a nice spinnaker and pole, but no attachment at the mast. Also, here and there I hear about someone switching to the "tall rig." Is there an available resource for the original M17 rigging plan and measurements?
