Tom, Once I left my Montgomery 15 parked, uncovered, under some trees. The cockpit drain plugged up solid with leaves, and the cockpit filled up with rainwater to just below the hatch boards, with the boat tilted bow down The water was also below the seat hatches, so no water actually got inside the boat. When I cleared the leaves, it took about 5 minutes for the cockpit to drain completely. That might give you some idea about how long it might take to drain after filling the cockpit. On the water, it might take a little longer, since the boat would be sitting lower in the water, and might drain a little slower.
