I need something right where you're talking about because it's a long drop once I step through the companionway...there's nothing. Even a milk crate would be better! Jazz On Feb 21, 2016 5:06 PM, "Thomas Buzzi" <thomaspbuzzi@gmail.com> wrote:
Thanks for the pics, Jazz. No two of these boats are alike once the owners have them. What a neat idea for double use of something. Especially on a small boat like these. I was thinking more along the lines of a circular step inside the cabin that would be removeable to use the cb winch, of course, but could then be left in place to use as a step or some precious horizontal area for pots, pans, monopoly boards, etc. There is so much cubic footage of air beneath the cockpit sole that it must be good for something! Perhaps a couple of roll out drawers.
Fun, Tom B

Do these boats typically not have steps Tom? I have some sort of owner made steps that are actually pretty cool, just the seal is questionable. I just assumed the original boat had the steps replaced? I' ll get a pic in a few minutes...heading out to wire up meter.

Sounds interesting. A step that can double as a table after the hatch boards are in.
