Brad: did you make a supporting mount that the battery boxes, and the containing batteries, are attached? ie, how are the batteries strapped down? :: Dave Scobie :: former M15 owner #288 - http://www.freewebs.com/m15-name-scred :: M17 #375 SWEET PEA - http://www.m17-375.webs.com :: Sage 17 #1 - AIR BORN - http://sagemarine.us/sage_17.html :: Sage 15 sloop #001 - ASOLARE - http://sagemarine.us/sage_15.html :: SageCat #000 - SAGECAT - http://sagemarine.us/sagecat.html On Wed, Jun 7, 2017 at 12:05 PM, brad kurlancheek <bkurlancheek@gmail.com> wrote:
this may be a dumb question, but where else to ask but here...
am contemplating trailering my 2009 M15, with two 12 volt car type batteries (about 20 pounds each), strapped into their compartments, under the cabin storage panel, placed onto the boat bottom
it'll be mostly highway travel, but i don't know how strong the boat bottom is, and my first thought is that to do so is a dumb idea and may cause damage to the boat bottom, and its just better to have the batteries in the towing vehicle
thanks for any thoughts on the matter!
