My 1979 #310 does not have a liner under the v-berth either. It does have a factory installed ceramic marine head bolted to a molded in platform and a small (4 gallon? ) holding tank forward. The pump on the head is shot and I don’t have any pump-out stations near me so I removed the holding tank and lined the head with a wag bag. I intend to move the group 27 house battery to the 11 x 14” platform under the forward part of the v-berth where the holding tank was located. I agree that looks like something original. Strange that your boat doesn't have the under-vberth liner.
Hope Jerry will see and he can state the model of potty and with that you can go hunting for an old one on eBay.
If not you could grind off the flanges and bond a sheet of plywood over so you have a base to use a potty currently available.

Dave, Thanks for your reply. A photo of the molded base is attached. It does not appear to be an "add on", but does look like it was part of the original design.
Thanks, Mike W

Mike.
You wrote 'molded base'. You boat has something besides a flat shelf?

Fellow Montgomery owners, Recently purchased a 1978 M17 stored in former owners backyard, under tarp, for 26 years. I have refinished all teak, replaced all running rigging, and applied wax and polish. She looks great! My wife and I sail in Sequim Bay, Olympic Peninsula, Washington. Our only problem is locating a porta potty that fits in the molded base beneath the v berth; any suggestions would be appreciated.
