Thanks all, I'm doing another keel removal album for the site and wanted to make it factual. I believe I'll make mention of what may be found too: Someone found a nut and bolt instead of the original pin, must have done repairs with parts on hand. Doug, are you saying sleeve the keel itself? Thanks Jerry - tradition it is. Bill On Dec 12, 2007 9:23 AM, Jay Townley <jaytownley@alamedanet.net> wrote:
IF YOU REPLACE THE PIN, I'D SUGGEST YOU PUT IN SS SLEEVE FOR THE PIN

M15 #310 - previous owner had removed the pin from the port side. The pin in my boat is not tapered but is not original equiptment. When inserting the pin there was no indication that the hole was tapered.

M-Boats has to be removed in one direction because the pin and hole are tapered. If someone knows the model and the direction of push, I sure could use the info. Bill _______________________________________________ http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/montgomery_boats
