Thanks for that link Doug. That ought to get us to act our age. What was that fellow thinking? He seemed to have plenty of water to leeward and was on that shore either by choice or ignorance. Maybe he wanted to get a better view of the surfers. I'd like to hear his version of events. I noticed there was no motor on the boat. A motor can be more a safety item than just a convenience. The slide show is very dramatic. First you think, "Hey that guy's gonna get wet", then the wave breaks and the boat disappears. Then it reappears, "No mast, No nothing". A couple of more rolls and just as you think, "It's amazing what you can do to a boat and it still floats", down she goes. Those last shots of the bow pointing towards heaven are very sad.
