Bones, Last time I checked my '77 aluminum drain hose it had some pitting so I wire brushed it with a drill brush and coated it with epoxy before painting it with bottom paint. The aft locker end is fiberglassed and the radiator hose runs down onto that so I feel ok about letting it go for another year although I am keeping the boat in salt water until then in a marina. I like the idea of the fiberglass exhaust tubing. The elevation of the cockpit sole don't permit the typical bronze seacock installation nor running the drain hose out the transom above the waterline.
