Sal, I don't think that you were wrong, we are interested in the boat, but when requests about Montgomeries are voiced, it is tiresome to continue to hear the sales plug for the Sage. We guessed that the Sage would be well received on this board, being Jerry Montgomery's latest design and this is a Montgomery forum. Especially since Jerry worked with this group to develop the model. Looks like we were wrong. Please accept my apology and we'll cool our jets in the future. sal In a message dated 5/20/2012 9:44:42 P.M. It's growing tiresome. The gentleman came to a Montgomery forum, looking for information on a Montgomery boat, not a "Jerry design", "wrinkle boat" or whatever other generic term we want to use to try to include the Sages on the Monty forums. Sage has a forum. I go there and enjoy it. You have a great boat in the Sage 17 no doubt. I only speak for myself and I may be totally alone on this one, but Sage being injected in my face nonstop every time a question is asked on a Montgomery forum is wearing thin and to me does not demonstrate the "integrity" that Sage touts as their motto ("Integrity is being good even when no-one is looking). I realize that yes Dave and Sal both have Mboats and the offer was there to show the Mboat as well, but we somehow conveniently switched the term Montgomery for "Jerry Montgomery Design" a marketing tactic of late that allows the injection of Sage into a conversation that is about Montgomerys, and also threw the offer to show the Sage in there for good measure. I'm not taking sides here between Montgomery and Sage, but I suspect if the owner of a competing boat company did that on the Sage forum it would not be looked at favorably. Poor form. My wish is that you guys would certainly participate in the forums as Montgomery Owners, which you both are...Rather than representatives of Sage Marine trying to slide in a continuous sales pitch. I know that this viewpoint won't be viewed favorably by all and that's OK, but I refuse to continue see it to happen and just act like either I don't understand what is taking place, or that I don't care. Neither is the case. I'm sure some will disagree with me. Maybe I am "off" here on this perception and it is just a random occurrence of Sage Marine marketing on Montgomery forums once in a while. If I am I apologize but I don't feel that this is the case and I get less enjoyment out of the forum every time it happens. If It's just me, then OK...maybe I should be moving along. Sorry for the "downer". For what it's worth. Sean
