We launched at Port Henry: nice double ramp w/ restroom & small breakwater. Partridge Harbor had 6 boats in it; 2 30'-ers got out of the waves on one side but other 4 got rocked by swells & wakes off the lake. Lot of motor boat traffic until 9PM. Saw 5 boats in there by 4 PM on our return to Port Henry. Had good holding in Porter Bay in 16' of water. Button Bay provided good shelter from westerly storm winds. Nice lake isn't it Mike? We spent a week there last September. Where did you launch from? Which was the crowded anchorage? Valcourt Island?

Just got back from 4 days on Champlain with 3 days of good winds & 1 calm day. Most anchorages were good although one highly recommended by a cruising guide was too crowded for my taste; saw one boat drag out into the lake. Will be worth returning next year Mike, *Fionnula* _______________________________________________ http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/montgomery_boats
