M_Boats: Priest Lake, Thanks Larry

Dan Fye and I went to Priest lake for 3 days after leaving the San Juan Islands. Thanks to Larry Yake's excellent local knowledge we were directed to upper Priest lake. It was a great location as it had about 7 sandy beaches with boat camping and no houses or lights what so ever. The stars were the best and brightest I have seen. Great mountain scenery and some good winds - Thanks Larry!!! My plans for Pend Orielle and Coeur D'Alene were cancelled due to the forecast 5 days of rain but I visited each lake just see what I could. I then wandered accross the NW passage into Montana and then cut back accross the center of ID along scenic rt 75. What a great state! Thanks Doug Kelch Seas the Day M15 G #310
