John. There remains a remnant group from the defunct pocket cruiser convention that informally gathers there in the winter. Many are snow birds that now have property or stay at an RV resort. They are active on Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/groups/899303090138409/ The lake is very enjoyable from about now to mid-March then becomes a powerboat and spring break nightmare. :: Dave Scobie :: M6'8" #650 :: SV SWALLOW - sv-swallow.com :: former owner M17 #375 SWEET PEA - m17-375.com :: former owner M15 #288 SCRED - www.freewebs.com/m15-named-scred/ On Mon, Nov 9, 2020, 10:42 PM John Schinnerer via montgomery_boats < montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com> wrote:
Hi all,
Anyone here been sailing on Lake Havasu?
Just wondering if it's any good, especially in the "off-season" wintry part of the year when maybe there's less powerboat madness.
There's a whole bunch of boat-in campsites...
thanks, John
