When do you M-15 and other pocket yachters plan to launch in Olympia? I will not be able to join the cruise but I do plan to wave Bon Voyage and can also provide directions to nearby (walking range) microbrew pubs, locally owned coffee roasters, eateries, and even grocery store. There is also a chandlery at the marina if needed. Among the many attractions of launching at Olympia is there are two good locally owned microbrew pubs within walking area of the launch ramp and guest dock. I will not be able to join the sail to Port Townsend, but I will be available to admire your M-boats and provide direction to the brewpubs, maybe join a few of you as you sample their product. Jazzy....love seeing those action photos of sailing in Puget Sound. Good stuff.
Please note the Potter Yachters (a great group of folks) are having a Pacific Northwest Mess-a-bout cruise that has the option of launching in Olympia and Ending at Port Townsend in time for the Wooden Boat Festival. September 9, 10 and 11 is the Date for the Wooden Boat Festival. There are other launching options besides Olympia as well.
There ARE Montgomery Boats in this Group and I know of several from outside Washington that are driving up for this Group Cruise. Lots of fun every year. Make new Friends....

Yes. We won the Cruiser Challenge in Monterey Bay July 22 and 23.!
Dan Phy and Dave Bacon (2 man crew) won both Races. !! In Dan's M 15 named SIX.
Both Sage 15s showed up. Jerry's SageCat 15 dismasted before the Start and the Sage 15 Sloop came in second in both races. It was WINDY.

Uncle Stan and Bernard won First in the large class. In Jerry's Sage 17. There were no M 17s at Monterey this year......second place by a Minute was a Marshal 18 Catboat. That boat was surprisingly fast.
