Don: Get the biggest diameter bungie that will fit thru the holes it goes thru, knot it at one end, put it thru all its holes, pull as tight as you reasonably can and knot the remaining end. Even up in the PNW we need to replace it every 2-3 years. --Gary Hyde Pullman, WA gmhyde1@mac.com M17 sailboat #637 'Hydeaway 2' We can't change the wind, but we can trim our sails. Hi Guys Hope every one had a nice holiday. I got to sail Sunday and noticed that the bungie that holds the pop up rudder is in poor condition from the southern sun. Does anyone know what the replacement bungie is? (size, manufacturer, etc) and does anyone have a suggestion as to how to go about replacing it. It looks like a simple thread through and knot but getting the tension right might be a problem.
