Joe, My wife and I lived in our 17 for three weeks (with a dog), and I can testify that a door like Larry's would have made a huge difference in comfort and convenience. I will pursue the matter this winter, but I gather that a difference in cabin shape makes it far more difficult to design an equally functional piece for the newer boats.
