Texas sailors , vistors welcome! Hello fellow sailors, I've had discussions with some different sailors and a few group sails have been discussed for consideration. I thought I'd put these out to give you time to consider, comment on and perhaps recommend a date / location. 1. Jan. 19/20- Choke Canyon, Tx ( fairly close to Corpus Christi, Tx ) http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/park/choke/ cruise leader- Louis Cisnero ( this one has alreadt taken place, it was fun, large lake, not crowded, I'd like to revisit ) This is a new site for me and a few of us are sailing / camping there this weekend. 2. Feb. 2 Texas A&M Sailing Club / Brazos Valley Sailing Club- group sail cruise leader- John C. Lofgren location: Lake Somerville, Tx http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/park/lakesome/lakesome.htm 3. March-open 4. April- There are plans forming for a group sail at Canyon Lake, Tx. The Canyon Lake Yacht Club ( CLYC )is interested in helping promote / sponsor a small boat gathering. May-open I'll be in the Kemah / Clear lake area the week of May 20-24 for business and am planning putting the boat in the water for the week.
