Joe, My bad, I misspelled. It is Texoma, a very large lake on the Texas/Oklahoma border about ah hour North of Dallas. The water on the East end is usually very clear and in mid to late October, should still be warm enough to swim. There is a string of islands with sandy beaches that make an excellent cruising destination. The lake is usually blessed in the fall with good steady breezes out of the SouthEast and since it winds around a lot, rarely builds large waves. Nice place.
