Yup, the boat is in the garage and there is snow on the hills this morning. Our M15 was a welcome escape most every weekend this strange summer, and my wife fell in love w settling in for a night on the water (it has quietly gone from being called ‘your boat’ to ‘our boat’). I’ve got fond memories of sailing in a night clear enough to see the Andromeda’s galaxy by eye with the comet Neowise hanging over the lake, and of the look of slight consternation on the faces of sailors on Catalina 22s and the like as we overtook them to windward on one of the rare days our lake filled with sailboats. I’ve got a long list of boat projects to turn to once the house and yard are buttoned up for the winter- and I did get new tires n hubs on the trailer so that it’s ready if a chance to take off in search of warmer waters opens up. So Jerry, know that 34 years after she left your shop, this little boat is giving joy to her owners and attracting the attention of strangers- whether people know boats or not, they all stop and take a good look and note what a great little boat she is. I'm still here! Maybe people have put their boats away already. Or maybe marinas are shut down. Maybe hell has frozen over!
