The 5-8 is simply a 6-8 witjh a foot cut off. I tried to rig up a sail rig for it but it didn't sail worth beans. The 6-8 is a pretty good sailboat. I've towed a 5-8 around in mexico behind a 17- works fine.

Well, I just acquired my 3rd M-boat. I think I am becoming a hoarder? lol
The serial number is MMP5800280573, which makes this a 5' 8" pram built in May, '73. Of course she needs work. A previous owner mounted some blocks onto her hull for some unknown reason. Below the waterline of course. Why put holes in a perfectly good boat?
I will spend the spring getting her back in shape and then tow her behind my M-15. If you notice, she's not a sailing pram, nor does she have oar locks!! So I'm guessing she was built for a motor? I'm guessing a 75 hp Merc, should get her plainning!!!! lol
