I once heard a couple guys get into a discussion about the price of a dog once. This one gentleman had just bought a pedigreed rotweiller or something and the other guy said he would never pay $600 for a purebread anything. I thought to myself "what a fool" if they think that the price of the dog was the only expense of a dog. After 15 years i wonder what the price of food, vet bills, leashes, toys, etc came to. And the guy got the exact dog he wanted and he enjoyed it for a lifetime (the dog's lifetime). Is a Beamer worth the price? I mean it gets you there just like the Corolla, but... to some it makes sense, to others not so much. Think about the "price" of owning a boat... the gas it took to fill the tow vehicle on each trip. The beer purchases, the repairs, the ramp fees, the upgrades, the property tax, the insurance... all the expenses of owning a boat. Don't get all caught up in the initial purchase price. It's a way of life, not a stock option. Buy the boat you love!!!! Can you sell it for pretty much what you bought it for? With a Montgomery the answer is usually "yes". I get compliments on my boat every time i take her out... does that mean much to me? No... not really... but i have to tell you that in my mind i give the boat compliments every time i walk down to her at the ramp after parking my truck. I love looking at her. I love the way she sails... i love the safety factor... I simply love my boat and if i keep her for 15 years the initial purchase price means little...
