Looked at the drop box pictures. The top of those winches is usually held on with a split ring, which is a flat coiled spring that slips around the winch shaft and into a groove at the top of that shaft. Without that there is really no way to reasseble the winch safely. LIked the neck built up from the centerboartd trunk to the side of the winch. Does that work well for you? Hello, I figured some of you may have experience with this, per attached dropbox photos, my keel winch is coming apart and either needs to be repaired or replaced. Does anyone have any recommendations for a replacement winch or repair methods? I can jam it back together, and it will work somewhat, but it is now apparently missing some thing that holds the two halves of the winch body together. Thanks for any advice offered.
