Again, thanks to all for your replies. The boat is 40 miles down the road, but I may go down there and get some pictures and post them. My description may be a bit off, but that is how I remember it, and it did strike me as very odd. I too wonder how it could have happened. In any case, I'll keep listening to your collective wisdom and try to get more data. But I am getting scared off. Unfortunately, I don't know where I could find a good surveyor in Colorado.
