Good morning. Thanks for the info. Its amazing how many responses I received the last two days to my "distress call". We live in Park City and I work for the State. We had a traditional wooden boat for 10 years - a Swampscott sailing dory, which I bought in Seattle. Sold it this summer and just happen to find the 15 when I was searching for pocket cruisers. Found Kestrel on the MSOG web and bought her in Monterey in July. Have sailed in Jordanelle so far. Have a lot of minor cosmetic work to do this winter. Had to get an extension on the trailer tongue just to launch it in Jordanelle because their ramp is low-angled. Anyway, have been out about 6 times on shake-down runs and each one gets better. Have gotten some good ideas on unsticking the keel. Apparently the boat will sail OK without dropping it. Will have the winter to work on it. I will contact Dave if I can't. I plan to sail in the GSL. I understand most is very shallow so I need to get a chart. Do you launch from the marina or the park off I-15 north of Ogden? Have you sailed in Utah Lake? I understand there are one or two new M's recently purchased from the factory and they were shipped to this area. Maybe we can get a group together. Thanks again.
