We are indeed a lucky fleet of sailors - we have a talented and involved 'old guard' of current sailors/owners/builders that truly love the work they did/do and are still working on at this instant. Few 'boat owner groups' as a lucky. Stan has his heart in the fleet (and likely a physical hand in most of the boats) and is willing to help everyone that may ask for assistance - (I have benefited from his generosity many a time) - Jerry is still a vibrant force and making MORE WrinkleBoats to this day - who da thought that we would still be sharing great times, information, new boat models, ideas, plans and a plain old helping hand over 40 years later? And with friends of this caliber? Some of my best friends sail WrinkleBoats. At the risk of sounding a bit maudlin* - Thanks to ALL the sailors - every one of you - who make this a great experience ! I am proud to be a member of such great fleet of individuals. I consider it an honor and privilege to sail with you and call you brothers. See you on the water - (It is 08:40 at the time of this mail and I have yet to start my 'personal self-medication' (gotta wait til about 17:00 - and it is a Friday. See - definition. #2) Remember D-Day - Thanks to Henry H.Oberbeck and Maurice Schoenwald for their part in the Big One! Anyway I just sold my latest M-17 and it sucked for a while but I'm getting my old M-23 back in the deal so it doesn't suck so much. Smart folks just don't like things that suck so they hang on to all their M-boats and their lives suck less. Be sure that if you let a M-boat go that you don't let it go to someone that sucks, that will make your life suck less. And I now know clearly that the medicine in the green bottle makes things not suck , thank you Scotland . Well isn't this a nice little story ? Thank-you to Jeff and Shasta for parting with Clarity. Bruce and Janet are now the new owners in Telkwa, BC who now have M17 #32 and M23 #111. we are happy and dedicated to the sport and use of Lyle Hess Montgomery sailboats. We can't wait to participate in the next San Juan and Gulf island cruise with fellow small boat sailors.
