M_Boats: Montgomery Type 12

I am a new member of the list. My interest is based on a friends boat. It is a Montgomery Marine Type 12, a small open 12 ft. sailboat. According to the serial number it was manufactured in 1973. I checked the archives but saw no mention of an M12. Is anyone familiar with this model? This particular boat hasn't been in the water for years.
