Rick, Congratulations on your purchase.? I know Walt.? We've sailed together and he is the one responsible for getting me interested in the Monty.? I've sailed other small day sailors in my past life and was interested in finding another small boat for day sailing when I met Walt.? Thanks to others on this board (Doug) I have been introduced to over-nighting.? I love it!!? There is a small group of us who have gotten together this past summer a few times and spent a few days on the Chesapeake.? If you are interested, we can contact you in the spring when we begin planning our trips for the up coming season.? I hope the winter goes by quick for you. After a 20-odd year hiatus from sailing (I sailed a Rainbow on Chesapeake Bay in the 60's and raced a 505 out of West River in the early 70's), I found in semi-retirement time to get back on the water again. I was lucky enough to find M-633 for sale by Walt Wood not ten miles from my house, and bought it at first sight. I've had a great time the rest of the summer and fall sailing on the Potomac River, and can't say enough good about the boat, which was just what I was looking for. Perfect for single-handing without worrying about hiking straps or capsizes, sails beautifully, and is easy to sail from the trailer. Pushed the season until the day before Thanksgiving, but it looks as if it's all over now until spring. Can't wait. By the way, does anyone know of a vendor of covers for the M-17? I'm getting a custom quote from Sailor's Tailor, but would appreciate any other leads. John (Rick) Davies ************************************** Check out AOL's list of 2007's hottest products.
