BTW: The fuel needed would only be one way. There's fuel docks at Two Harbors and Avalon. -----Original Message----- From: Sandy <sandyal55@aol.com> To: theerwagen <theerwagen@yahoo.com>; montgomery_boats <montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Fri, Aug 2, 2013 3:39 pm Subject: Re: M_Boats: Tips on Sailing from Marina Del Rey to Catalina? Carry enough fuel for the entire trip. Summertime isn't very windy in the AM. First stop at Two Harbors from MDR. It's 32 NM and is a quiet peaceful harbor. Ask for a mooring to the right of the pier, but if you have a small boat, they may require you tie to the "String Line". Check the charts entering Two Harbors , as there is a shoal to watch out for. -----Original Message----- From: Tyler Heerwagen <theerwagen@yahoo.com> To: montgomery_boats <montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Fri, Aug 2, 2013 3:32 pm Subject: M_Boats: Tips on Sailing from Marina Del Rey to Catalina? Hi I am planning an overnight cruise from Marina Del Rey to Catalina island in a couple of weeks. Any tips on the trip, mooring selections there, etc? Tyler
