Hi Connie... When I got my first Seagull in '98, I found Ron battiston's website and the Clymer pub...British Seagull. Not a pristine copy, but I bought it for a third of what they go for on E-bay nowadays <GG> I also got M.O. Marine's Seagull info...stuff from the Seagull service manuals and his own experience, and I have 5-6 Seagull owners, parts and service manuals...all garnered over the last 5 years. I'm somewhat of a Seagull collector nowadays.... fell in love with the ungainly beasts in '79 during a visit to Raritan marine in N.J. My first one was a Silver Century Plus (WSPCL '69). I mostly learned from it using the Clymer manual. Never had it on the boat, as it was late fall, we just moved close to the lake, and I needed to do work on Stargazer before putting her in the water. I found a 1992 Model 55 a month before putting the boat in the water and bought it. Sold the Silver Century to a fellow that _HAD_ to have it (even made me a good shipping box). He used it on a "period" 22 foot sail boat and went to the Bahamas with it. Almost 3 years ago, I found an EFNRL-90 (with F-N-R) and bought it reasonably. The owner had it "professionally serviced" but I found the problem to be a fuel float that was installed backwards and wouldn't let in enough fuel for sustained operation at half throtthe or more. It's the primary engine for Stargazer since I got it up and running. Bought a 1974 Featherweight from Battiston a few years ago. Neat, tiny (28 pounds) butno boat for it yet. Looks neat in my workshop, however<GG> Last month, I found a Kingfisher (1989) on E-bay, and got it for an excellent price. Low hours, and stored for most of it's life. Once I give it a thorough going over, it'll replace the EFNRL...and I'll sell it. 3 motors is enough!! Harvey/ Ga M-17 Stargazer #294
