hello Kyle, I purchased some parts from Bob E. and they were delivered promptly. I didn't even pay until after the parts came in. If purchasing a new boat and paying for it and it not showing up is a concern you can always wait until they have a new one for sale and go out and inspect it and pay for it then or arrange for an agent to do that for you. I don't have an Mboat at present ( sailing a Ranger 20 ) but I hope to purchase another one in the future, probably a new M15. I also know of a sailor in Lake Charles that ordered a new one from the factory and it was delivered, no problem. free business advice for what's it worth- protection under the law- I'm not a lawyer, but a purchasing agent for a research ship and deal with purchasing on a large and small dollar basis. There is protection for the consumer under the UCC, article 2. You do want to ensure you have insurance for any new item or used item purchased and being transported. You normally own it once it leaves the factory or place of sale. If any thing happens to the boat or equipment it's in your court to deal with. You might want to ask for a quotation clearly showing anything being purchased in detail and the terms of transportation. take care, Randy Watkins
kenlow@indiana.edu 10/28/02 08:59AM >>> I have discovered some information that Bob Eeg has taken some people when it comes to selling boats? What is the story the information I read http://www.norsea27.com/faq.htm#just%20the%20faqs%20mamn looks pretty convincing. Who owns Montgomery boats? If you purchase one will you actually take delivery?
Thanks Kyle
