Tom, I'm fortunate in that I am able to keep Monita on a mooring buoy near my home. I can approach the buoy from any direction depending on which way the wind blows. This means I can always sail on and off the mooring. I never have to use the motor for my regular mooring. But I do need it to back away from the dock or beach when taking the kids swimming, and of course at the ramp. My regular motor is an old Mariner 5hp long shaft that I picked up from a friend of Bones'. It is very light and works well enough but with the single cylinder it vibrates a lot. Nothing like the sewing machine smoothness of a two cylinder Evinrude! Henry -- Sent from Gmail Mobile on Windows 10 phone
