Welcome to the group, Rob. I didn't mean to ignore you, my apologies. Thank you for the information about Leech Lake. I might make it up there with one of the grandkids later this summer or fall for some relaxed cruising. What kind of boat do you sail? Are you near the Cities? One other thing I forgot to mention -- if you have 4 boats of the same class (i.e. 4 M15's or 4 M17's, etc) then you can request a separate start and fleet. You'd compete as a one design. Let Mitch and Mara know if you want to do that. Let me know too. I know some of the people who organize the event. They used to race in the same club that I do.

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum. I don't own a Montgomery, but I do own Lyle Hess designed boat. I'm thinking to get an M17 in the not to distant future.
I live in MN and have been to the Leech Lake Regatta several times and will go again this year. It's a fun time on beautiful lake at a beautiful venue. If you have the time, it would be a fun lake to cruise in your Montgomery. If you want to stay on your Montgomery during the regatta, call Mitch and Mara at the Shores of Leech Lake (host of the regatta) and tell them you want a space on the wall for your boat. There are a number of boats that do that and it fills up, so the sooner the better.
Hope to see you there,
Rob

Jerry, are you still thinking about going to the Leech Lake Regatta in Minnesota in August? I'll go if you go! :-) We could probably get a contingent of Minnesota sailors up there as well anyone else willing to make the trip. Are you up to it, Dave Scobie? Sal? Gary? Tyler? Tom? Bones? Etc.?
I know nothing about the regatta except what is posted on line:
