Thanks for the offer Sean, I found it last night. Small victory but I was thrilled. I tapped aboot with a hammer but as it would be the pin is/was right behind one of the uprights for the keel guide so it was not easy to use this method. I had been stripping but could see nothing different, mostly I was looking too far back, but there was a small crack in the gel coat in about the right spot that upon drilling turned out to be the pivot pin. Nothing like taking a drill to your boat, but it worked out. One step closer. If you haven't found it already...just keep removing that bottom paint. You'll find it. It should be flush with the original gelcoat but not covered by it. At least that's the way mine was. If you need me to take some general measurements of where to look let me know. I'm off this week and would be glad to do it for you.
