There you go bringing logic into it. I was happy with a simple, if not correct, explanation! I agree that doing this myself is possible but I am going to punt and let the guys at the shop work on it. I have enough getting various things fixed and prepped for the season and that trailer (think it is a pacific) has not had any work done on the brakes or other parts since it rolled out of the factory in 1978. The guts on one side are all gone and I have rebuilt enough drum brakes to know that the details like getting rusty things free are sometimes not pleasant. Happy spring in MN!
