My 17 is a 1977 and, I guess, since the sink thru hull spends so little time actually wet I have not experienced any corrosion there although I do keep an eye on it. On Thu, Apr 6, 2017 at 12:35 PM, STANLEY WHEATLEY <swwheatley@comcast.net> wrote:
The "little tikes" sink is pretty useless so, if you are planning to refinish the hull anyway, now would be a good time to grind out that thru-hull and patch the hole. Otherwise, I would just keep an eye on it.

drain thru-hull because of possible corrosion. What about the sink
drain
thru-hull, on older M17s so equipped? I'm guessing this has not been
a
problem because it is slightly above the waterline and is therefore
not
constantly wet. Anyone have any issues with theirs?
