Chad, I forgot about that. That is the other reason I switched to a propane stove. My late fall cruises often get below freezing at night and the butane stoves don't work well as the temps approach 34 deg. I usually make an omlette with dice mushrooms, onions and peppers in the AM and the Jetboil doesn't work for this style of cooking either. The fresh mushrooms and peppers will keep for up to two weeks in the cool air of Lake Superior, especially if they have never been refrigerated. Get yourself a Jetboil stove system. It is fabulous. The main unit is a small gas canister, stove with ignitor, cup with heatsink, and a french press. It all fit together in a small package. Add the larger cooking pot (with heat deflector) and you have the bases covered for hot drinks, coffee, and a one pot meal. I've looking for a system like this for motorcycle camping for years. Now having my Jetboil for three seasons, I can't say enough good things about it. My system is going with me to Isle Royale this weekend..... I talked to a fellow at Midwest Mountaineering just after I purchased my set-up, he was an avid camper and scrapped this THREE stoves he owned to go with the Jetboil. And, an added point, it heats up fast!
