I have been working on painting the bottom of Seafrog, my newly acquired factory fresh M-17, at a boat yard/marine surplus store. It gets a lot of foot traffic from folks buying stuff for their boats and I have been getting a lot of comments. In addition to the normal "..what a cute little boat" one passerby commented "that's the biggest small boat I've seen". I too found the cockpit to be extremely comfortable with the unusually high coamings. My last boat was a NorSea 27 and I thought it had the most comfortable cockpit of any boat I've ever been on. That was until I took some well deserved work breaks sitting in the cockpit. Can't wait til splash down!! I've found that to be the case too, Tom, when checking out cockpit seating at boatshows. About the only seats I've found fit my posterior as well as Busca's are the Hallberg-Rassys, but then their pricetag doesn't fit my wallet nor their large size my needs.

At the comfort and usability of the M17 cockpit. Walking the docks at our large, sailboat-only marina last weekend, not one boat, regardless of size I might add, had as comfortable a seating arrangement as the Montgomery 17. Astonishing. tom
