Hi Doug,
Scott Grometer with all his Alaskan Inside Passage cruising for weeks at a time on his M15 would be a natural person to talk about small boat cruising.
Connie
Connie/Group, I need to clarify that 'bebe' has not been north of Johnstone Strait in British Columbia. I have been further north on larger boats, but no Alaska (yet) for 'bebe.' Rod Johnson and his M17 'BuscaBrisas' has me beat by far. He made it at least as far as Bella Coola--probably about 1000 miles roundtrip (including side trips) from his starting point in Port Angeles--and across the oft dreaded Queen Charlotte Sound (one of two open ocean passages on the way to Alaska). You can read his excellent account of this trip in the Winter 1998 (Vol. 4, No. 4) and Spring 1999 (Vol. 5, No. 1) Montgomery Owner's Newsletter (now available online @ http://msog.org/mon/mon_main.cfm) We have indeed done some multi-week trips with 'bebe' in Princess Louisa, Desolation Sound, the Gulf Islands, etc., but the 'big one' is still out there! Humbled, Scott Grometer, M15 #478 'bebe'
