M_Boats: Honda Outboard

Hello everyone, I'm interested in buying a 1990 Honda 7.5 hp outboard with 100 hours, in particularly nice condition. It does have an alternator. Does anyone have any thoughts or comments on this particular motor or the size (too big??). What might this motor be worth on the used market. Also, has anyone wired up the alternator to their battery for charging. Any suggestions, or words of wisdom would be appreciated.
