Hi George.. Stargazer's trailer is brakeless as well....I'm sure that they can be added, but not sure if it's worth the trouble/cost!! I towed over 1500 miles using a Ford Aerostar van..3L engine, auto tranny and Drawtite hitch. No real problems, even in the mountains of E. Tennessee. I did add a medium capacity oil cooler from U-Haul when they installed the hitch. What are you going to tow her with ?? DO check the auto's owners manual on how to tow. The Aerostar manual cautioned you to keep the transmission locked OUT of overdrive/ 4th gear. I don't think that it would have hurt the car any when I brought her to Atlanta from Ft. Myers, Fla., but would have been a problem in the mountains. Get as much info about the trailer's condition...tires, etc. Bring a grease gun for the bearings. Hope they have Bearing Buddies. Also an air pump or a can of flat tire fixer. Those tires may be old, like mine, and have slow leaks in them. Also the best rust buster that you can find, as the tire bolts may b erusted in the drums. Regards, Harvey/ Ga M-17 Stargazer #294
